We’re thrilled to provide a live stream service for athletes, parents and coaches to take their game to the next level.” “We are thrilled to be partners with BallerTV, which is a forward-looking and dynamic media company that will help more people follow the action at our tournaments,” said Andy Hansen, VP of Media and Branding at Triple Crown. “Our fastpitch events are nationally known for their value to college recruiters, so we expect coaches to be especially interested in using BallerTV to track the progress of players who may end up on their rosters someday.” About Triple Crown Sports Based in Fort Collins, CO., Triple Crown Sports has been producing college and youth events for more than 35 years, with approximately 90 events scheduled for 2019 in the arenas of youth baseball, fastpitch, basketball, lacrosse and volleyball. The TCS footprint includes both the preseason and postseason WNIT basketball events and the men’s and women’s Cancun Challenge tournaments in November. Triple Crown is also powering “WNIT” concept events in D-I softball (NISC) and volleyball (NIVC), with those two events debuting in 2017. TCS youth fastpitch tournaments (including the 900-team Sparkler/Fireworks event) draw the nation’s finest club programs, and hundreds of college coaches attend TCS events for recruiting purposes. On June 6, 2018 Triple Crown Fastpitch wrapped up the 20th year of the Mountain Magic Camp in the delightful town of Steamboat Springs, CO.
Beginning in 1999, this skills camp combines position specific instruction, hitting drills and game-like situations, all of which are led by college coaches. Players enjoy the opportunity to experience different coaching styles over the three days; the relationships built at this camp aid in the college recruiting process. Now that most of the athletes have spent the last three days fine tuning their skills, we look forward to the competition part of the week; the Mountain Magic tournament continues to be the premier event for local teams and neighboring states! It began Thursday, June 7th and runs through Sunday. This event is the second leg of the “Colorado Cup.” Teams that play in all three Colorado Cup events (Spring Stampede, Mountain Magic, CO State Championships) have the chance to earn a paid berth to Steamboat Mountain Magic 2019! Triple Crown is excited to see all of the fastpitch teams and their families flock to Steamboat for a long weekend to enjoy the breathtaking views and quaint atmosphere only this mountain community can offer. The 2018 Colorado Cup will consist of three events played on our traditional weekends with prize packages for the top finishers in each event, along with an overall prize package for the top finisher in the Cup. Each age group’s overall winner will receive a paid berth into the 2019 Steamboat Mountain Magic and more! Points earned at each event determine the overall champion – teams must play in all three events to be eligible.
We’ll open up our 2018 Colorado Cup with The Spring Stampede, played in Northern Colorado on May 12-13. The event, formally the Spring Fling, has traditionally drawn a strong field and will feature a four-game guarantee. Cost is $575 for 12-18u and $525 for the 10’s. On June 7, we’ll make our annual trip to Steamboat Springs for Mountain Magic. The 14-18u age groups will start play on Thursday, finishing up Saturday night, while 10-12u will start Friday and play through Sunday afternoon. All divisions are four-game guarantee, and we attract a wealth of out of state competition to The Boat! Cost is $995 for 12-18u and $750 for 10u. The 2018 Cup sequence concludes with our State Tournament (June 15-17), once again held at the Aurora Sports Park and The Ballpark in Erie. This three-game guarantee offers play at the A, B and C levels (where available) as we crown our State Champions! Cost is $575 for 12-18u and the 10’s will once again be $525. For all Cup events, 12-18u will feature 90-minute game times and provide game balls; we’ll finish the inning, and championship games will be seven innings. The 10u will be 75 minutes, finish the inning for all games. We’ll play using ASA rules with the usual Triple Crown modifiers. |
